Textagons ("Textagons", "we", "us", or "our") is a daily word puzzle app for iOS published by Ryan Aguilar. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, share, and protect information when you use the Textagons mobile app and our website at textagons.app.
By using Textagons, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
Textagons does not require an account. We collect a hashed device identifier and anonymous gameplay analytics to operate and improve the game. Optional ads are delivered by Google AdMob. We do not sell your personal information.

* Textagons does not use the app for cross-app or cross-site tracking as defined by Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework. Third-party ad and analytics providers may process data under their own policies.
The app generates or reads a device-specific identifier, hashes it with SHA-256,
and sends the hash to our servers in the X-Device-ID request header when
fetching puzzles. We use this identifier to deliver daily and archived puzzles,
enforce rate limits, and prevent abuse. The hash is not intended to identify you by
name or contact information.
We use Google Firebase Analytics to collect anonymous usage information, such as:
These events help us understand how the game is used and improve the experience. We do not intentionally collect your name, email, or precise location through analytics.
Textagons may show optional ads through Google AdMob (Google Mobile Ads SDK), including rewarded ads for extra hints and interstitial ads after completing a puzzle. Google and its partners may collect device and ad-interaction information to deliver, measure, and prevent fraud related to ads. At this time, Textagons does not request permission to track you across other companies' apps and websites using Apple's Advertising Identifier (IDFA).

If you email us at support@textagons.app, we receive the information you choose to include (such as your email address and message content).
The app stores puzzle progress, preferences, cached puzzles, and similar game data locally on your iPhone. This information remains on your device unless you delete the app or use in-app reset options where available.
We share information only with service providers that help us operate Textagons:
api.textagons.app and may process request metadata needed to
deliver the service.

We may also disclose information if required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of Textagons, our users, or others.
We do not sell personal information.
Server-side records tied to device hashes and API requests are kept only as long as needed for security, operations, and troubleshooting. Analytics data is retained according to settings in our Firebase project and Google's default retention rules. Ad-related data retention is governed by Google's policies. Support emails are kept as long as needed to resolve your request.
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, including hashed device identifiers and HTTPS for network communication. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights to access, correct, or delete personal information. Contact us to exercise those rights.
Textagons is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
Textagons is operated from the United States. If you use the app from outside the United States, your information may be processed in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate.
California residents may have rights to know, delete, and opt out of certain sharing of personal information. Textagons does not sell personal information. To make a privacy request, email support@textagons.app.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of Textagons after an update means you accept the revised policy.
